ok. so really this post this just as much “business” as it is “personal”. i haven’t posted anything in a LONG time and there’s no excuse! it is my goal to at least have one post a week. here is my first post of 2010… i’m kinda excited about it. two (possibly three) Christmas’ ago, michael gave me a paint set and i haven’t touched any of it until the last few weeks. i have had an idea for a while now to paint several canvas’ to put in our dinning room… well today i finally carried out my plan. they aren’t perfect, but i’m pretty happy with them for now. what do you think? hopefully one day we’ll have a cabinet to go under them:)…patience is a virtue. patience is a virtue. patience is a virtue… here are some images i took during the afternoon.
and my wonderful husband helped me hang them:) isn't he precious!?!
i am so excited about these images! last saturday, my wonderful, beautiful, photographer friend eva and I met with the reed’s for a family portrait session. the weather was perfect. the sky was awesome! the reed’s go to church with michael and i at grace community church. We’ve known ben and laura ( and rex) since the beginning of this year. ben is over the community groups at grace. actually, michael and i have been fortunate enough to have ben and laura to not only lead the community group we are in, but also be our pre-marriage councilors. although i’ve not known brandon and kara as long – i know they are a great couple and are doing a lot for the Lord at grace. this summer brandon took on the role of college minister and has been doing great things with the students at austin peay.
this is one great family! we are so blessed that God has not only put us at a great church like grace, but that He has given us great mentors and leaders like you guys!
with that said. now… on to the images!! (YAY) i hope you guys love them!
although we were afraid we were going to blow away when rachel’s session began- the wind calmed and we had a great afternoon for senior portraits. rachel is a senior at pvcs with my sister and is an awesome volleyball player (… her mom was my volleyball coach my junior and senior year) thanks rachel for putting up with my “directing” and mrs steverson, i hope you approve;)
it’s hard to believe that another one of us is graduating high school. i am not ready for moriah (a senior) or libby (a junior) to be dating or driving… much less graduating high school! oh well… we’re all are growing up, and that’s definitely an exciting/ fun/ scary/ good thing.
a few Sunday’s ago moriah and her friends, lindsey and cortney, met up with me for an afternoon of senior portraits. here are some of my faves!
tyler and rachel are some of mine and michael’s best friends. actually… tyler and michael have been best friends since high school. it was a great honor for them to allow me to capture their big day!
i must say it was kinda weird for michael to be in the bridal party though:) i think i might have fussed at him a few times for not having the guys where they were supposed to be .
thanks tyler and rachel for allowing me to be a part of your wedding. it was beautiful and we wish you the best!
well things are starting to settle down now. we’ve will be been married for 3 weeks this saturday! wow. married life is AWESOME though!… what’s crazy is that tyler and rachel have been married for a little over a month now. i can’t believe that i haven’t already shared rachel’s bridal portraits with you… so here they are.
i finally got the meet the keenan’s! misty and i have emailed and called back and forth for several months now trying to set something up… and we finally figured out a time:) here’s some of my favorites from their session!
thanks keenan family for hanging in there with me! i hope you are as happy with the results as i am!!!
this is the keenan kids great grandmother holding baby liam’s foot. isn’t it precious?!
precious!! (if i were saying this so you could hear me… it would kind of be “sing songie”
i couldn’t choose between these last two. i love it!
hey! it’s been a long time since I’ve posted and I apologize. things have been kinda crazy trying to finish up school, work (my regular day job), shoot, and plan a wedding. just a little over a month until the BIG day and I can’t wait!!!
i have been shooting believe it or not! i just haven’t posted yet. two saturday’s ago i had a bridal session with rachel, whom you might remember from may, but unfortunately they can not be shown until after september 19th. yesterday i met with the binkley’s for sawyer’s year old portraits. i can’t believe how time flies! he was 3 months when i first met and started photographing sawyer. he is all over the place!! not walking yet, but he’s a little speed demon at crawling.
well, i was so excited about our shoot yesterday that i couldn’t just pick one “sneak peak”, so i picked four:) more to come soon.
well, it’s about time that i get these up! melinda and daniel were married on june 20th at new hope free will baptist church followed by an awesome desert reception at the coach house in pleasant view, tn.
make sure you look for the grooms cake in the slideshow. melinda made it for daniel as a surprise! she did an amazing job.
